France, Paris - Cost of Living

The economy of France is a mixed economy which is the fifth largest economy in the world, by measurement of GDP (nominal), behind the United States, Japan, China and Germany. It is the second largest economy in Europe.

Paris is the capital of France and the country's most populous city. The diverse economy of Paris is essentially a service economy, with business and financial services generating nearly half of the Paris Region's GDP.

Paris has an overall cost of living index which equates it with high cost of living locations. The overall cost of living index is comprised of the prices for defined quantities of the same goods and services across all 13 Basket Groups.
