In Bujumbura people speak Kirundi (official), French (official) and Swahili. In Bangui people speak French and Sangho (lingua franca).

Bujumbura is the capital city and main port of Burundi. Bangui is the capital of and the largest city in the Central African Republic. Bujumbura's port ships most of the country's chief export, coffee, as well as cotton, skins, and tin ore. Bangui serves as an administrative, trade, and commercial center.
