Assignment in Copenhagen

Today I would like to discuss Copenhagen in Denmark. If you were to be sent to Copenhagen on an expatriate assignment or if you were to relocate there, you are likely to experience weather that is temperate, humid and overcast with mild, windy winters and cool summers. You will meet people who speak Danish.

The cost of clothing, food and beverages, housing and transport is very high. Copenhagen is the capital and largest city of Denmark. Copenhagen is the economical and financial centre of Denmark and also a strong business and economic centre in the Scandinavian-Baltic region.

From a day to day comfort perspective, you are likely to experience minimal hardship. Be sure to negotiate an appropriate salary or allowance to compensate for the cost of living. If you live in Copenhagen or if you lived there recently, let us know what your experience has been. Would you live in Copenhagen again?
